Whiting Water Corp. has issued a "boil water" notice to its users. The notice was distributed by email this morning (February 17, 2020) at 8 o'clock. Water service in the village has been interrupted a couple of times in recent weeks, most recently on the evening of February 14-15.
The notice (below) reads: "Please be advised that the water system has experienced a problem getting water from the spring to the distribution system. We connected the system to the well (our emergency source) to provide our users with water. As this is not our approved source, we are required to ask you to boil the water used for consumption. We will notify you as soon as you can resume normal use."
[Update, March 18, 2020: Whiting Water Corp. sent out a notice stating that the water system passed two rounds of testing in February. "Feel free to resume consumption as usual."]
