Had a great chat with Whiting Town Clerk Grace Simonds yesterday afternoon. Grace is extraordinarily knowledgeable about the history of Whiting and the more recent goings-on in town. And she was generous with that knowledge. She shared a bit of her own family history and described the situations that led to the construction of our current residence.
One bit of town government news: There will be no meeting of the Whiting Selectboard this coming Monday (Oct. 8), due to the Columbus Day holiday. The next meeting of the board will be Monday, Oct. 22.
